UPDATE:
45-year-old Chad Elzy was arrested on Friday, July 7, in West Baton Rouge Parish by the Louisiana State Police Fugitive Apprehension Task Force. Elzy was wanted for second-degree battery, domestic abuse battery by strangulation, and unauthorized use of a movable.
Elzy was booked into the West Baton Rouge Parish Jail where he will be transported to theAscension Parish Jail at a later date.

APSO searching for man wanted for domestic abuse charges
Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance in locating a White Castle man wanted for domestic abuse battery after a physical altercation ensued between him and his girlfriend.
According to Chief Deputy Bobby Webre, on Tuesday, July 4, deputies were dispatched to a residence on Bryant Street in Donaldsonville in reference to a domestic disturbance. Deputies arrived on scene and located a female badly beaten. She was transported to a local hospital where she is being treated for moderate injuries.
As the investigation continued, it was learned that Elzy fled the scene prior to deputies’ arrival and located the vehicle he was driving abandoned in a ditch near St. Patrick Street and Memorial Drive in Donaldsonville a short while later.
Chad Elzy, 45, of 32240 Francis Street, White Castle, is wanted for second-degree battery, domestic abuse battery by strangulation, and unauthorized use of a moveable.
Elzy has a lengthy criminal history with nine arrests with charges stemming from multiple drug charges, second-degree battery, and aggravated rape charges.
