Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office Lt. Col. Bobby Webre reports the arrest of 26-year-old Frank Brooks IV, on possession of marijuana charges, flight from officer and domestic abuse aggravated assault on Tuesday, December 8.
On December 2, Ascension Parish Sheriff’s deputies responded to a residence on St. Patrick Street in Donaldsonville in reference to a female stating she was beaten by Brooks the night before. The female victim suffered a fractured facial bone and several abrasions to the neck and face. She was treated for her injuries at a nearby hospital and released.
A short while later, deputies located Brooks driving on Iberville Street in Donaldsonville but Brooks refused to stop, said Lt. Col. Webre.
Brooks led deputies on a short vehicle pursuit into Assumption Parish and Assumption Parish Sheriff’s deputies stopped the vehicle, however Brooks was not located.
Several attempts to locate Brooks at various locations were unsuccessful.
On Tuesday night, deputies located Brooks at a residence on Pine Street in Donaldsonville where he was arrested. When deputies took him into custody, they located a quantity of marijuana in his pocket. Frank Brooks IV, of 114 Pine Street, Donaldsonville, was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana, domestic abuse aggravated assault, flight from officer, and disturbing the peace.
He was booked into the Ascension Parish Jail where no bond has been set yet.
