According to Sheriff Bobby Webre, the Violent Crimes Unit arrested 25-year-old Cora-Lee Daenen on Thursday, April 11 on charges of two counts of attempted second-degree murder, illegal use of weapons, and disturbing the peace.
On Thursday, April 11, shortly after 2 a.m., an investigation began after deputies received a report of a shooting that occurred on Boe Peep Road in St. Amant. Deputies arrived on scene and learned that a verbal altercation occurred earlier between Daenen and another female subject.
As the investigation continued, it was learned that Daenen fired a single gun round at a moving vehicle occupied by the other subject who was involved in the altercation.
No one was injured.
Daenen was booked into the Ascension Parish Jail where no bond has been set.
This investigation is ongoing and more arrests may be pending.
