According to Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office Chief Deputy Bobby Webre, detectives arrested three on multiple charges after investigating a case of stolen property located at a residence in Ascension Parish.
Detectives executed a search warrant on a residence at 8380 Paul Road, St. Amant, on Friday evening, January 26, after receiving information that a convicted felon, identified as Christopher Washburn, was in possession of stolen assault rifles.
Detectives located a quantity of methamphetamine, heroin, suboxone, synthetic marijuana, a quantity of cash, and stolen items in the residence. Detectives also located three four-wheelers without identification numbers on the property. “Detectives are actively working to find information on the four-wheelers to return them to their owners,” added Chief Deputy Webre.
Detectives also recovered a handgun, AK-47, and an AR-15 that was reported stolen from a residential burglary that occurred in October.
Washburn, along with two other occupants in the residence were arrested.
Christopher Washburn, 32, of 8380 Paul Road, St. Amant, was arrested and charged with three counts of possession of firearm by convicted felon, possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, possession with intent to distribute heroin, possession with intent to distribute suboxone, possession of marijuana, drug paraphernalia, illegal possession of stolen things, and three counts illegal possession of stolen firearms. His bond was set at $175,000 by Judge Leblanc.
Emmanuel Castillo, 33, of 43258 Norwood Road, Prairieville, was arrested and charged with possession of schedule II CDS.
Renee Powell, 50, of 48181 Sam Martin Road, St. Amant, was arrested on an active bench warrant for two counts possession of CDS II, two counts possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of CDS I Manufacturing, possession of a legend drug without a prescription, trespassing, and theft.
