Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office is actively seeking the whereabouts of 31-year-old Jarmaine Gibson, also known as “Big G,” for his involvement in the homicide of 24-year-old Sylvester Leblanc that occurred Monday night, October 23, on Third Street in Donaldsonville.
According to Lt. Col. Ward Webb, detectives arrested 27-year-old Shawn Burd, of 131 Lillian Drive, Plattenville, for principal to second-degree murder for his involvement in this homicide.
Detectives also arrested 36-year-old Theophilus Joseph, of 1012 St. Patrick Street, Donaldsonville, and he was charged with second-degree murder, possession of a firearm by convicted felon, illegal use of dangerous weapons, two counts possession with the intent to distribute schedule I CDS, and drug paraphernalia.
During the course of the investigation, detectives executed a search warrant on Joseph’s residence and located a quantity of drugs and a digital scale in his possession.
Both men were booked into the Ascension Parish Jail where no bond has been set yet.
