APSO ARRESTS TWO IN THEFT CASE – 9/6/2019 1:15 PM

The Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office arrested 36-year-old Megan Jackson on charges of theft, resisting an officer, and fugitive from another agency and 19-year-old Auralia Jackson for reckless operation, no seat belt, stop signs and yield signs, driving on roadway laned for traffic, principal to theft, and aggravated flight from officer.

According to Sheriff Bobby Webre, on Wednesday, September 11, deputies responded to Lowe’s Home Improvement Store in Gonzales in reference to a theft attempt in progress. When deputies arrived on scene they located the two females who were attempting to flee. Deputies were able to stop Megan; however Auralia attempted to flee in the vehicle. Deputies began a short pursuit which came to an end on Highway 74 when the vehicle crashed into the ditch. No one was injured.

Both females, of Baton Rouge, were booked into the Ascension Parish Jail.
