According to Sheriff Jeff Wiley, 24-year-old Sylvester Leblanc was a victim of a homicide that occurred on Third Street in Donaldsonville shortly before 9 p.m. Monday night.

He was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased a short while later.

This case is currently under investigation and additional details may be available at a later date.
