APSO MAKES ARREST IN RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY – 8/7/2017 10:22 AM

APSO deputies responded to a residence on Memorial Drive in Donaldsonville shortly after 2 a.m. Sunday morning, August 6, in reference to two residential burglaries, according to Chief Deputy Bobby Webre.

The victim stated she was awakened by her barking dog and decided to dial 911. She advised deputies that a bag of medication was missing and the screen missing from the window. Another neighbor also reported a quantity of medication missing and a screen missing from the window also, added Chief Webre.

As the investigation continued deputies located a baseball cap at the scene and the missing medication which led deputies to question 26-year-old Thomas Conley who victims stated he has been in the area lately performing maintenance type work and losing his baseball cap a few days ago.

As a result of the investigation, Thomas Conley, 26, of 180 1/2 Latino Drive, Donaldsonville, was arrested and charged with two counts simple burglary of an inhabited dwelling, possession of a legend drug, and possession of schedule IV CDS.

He was booked into the Ascension Parish Jail where no bond has been set yet.
