APSO RELEASES ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ON BODY FOUND IN NEW RIVER CANAL – 7/26/2016 5:05 PM

Shortly before 2 p.m. Tuesday afternoon, deputies located a body of a male victim in New River Canal between Lively Road and Cornerview Road in Gonzales.

According to Chief Deputy Bobby Webre, the victim appears to be 20-40 years of age of average height and weight wearing sweatpants and black tennis shoes.

The victim was wearing a short bun type ponytail and a dark colored jacket.

The victim was wearing a distinctive type of glove on his right hand that was black and yellow in color. The victim also appears to have no visible tattoos.

The victim was also wearing a gold necklace with a quarter size medallion displaying Jesus’ face.
