Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office is actively seeking information on a suspect who burglarized Ralph’s Pharmacy on Highway 44 in Gonzales shortly after midnight on Friday, August 27.
According to Sheriff Jeff Wiley, the suspect forced entry into the pharmacy from the rear of the building and disabled the alarm. Undetected, the suspect stole a large amount of prescription medications totaling nearly $20,000.
Video surveillance captured the suspect committing the burglary.
On the previous day, in the early morning hours, an attempted burglary occurred at Lagniappe Pharmacy on Airline Highway in Gonzales. Video surveillance captured the suspect attempting to make entry into the business but was unsuccessful.
The two burglaries are possibly related.
