According to Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office Major Kevin Hanna and investigation began in midNovember after it was discovered that a single storage unit had been burglarized at a multi-storage unit facility located at on Airline Highway.

During the course of the investigation detectives learned there was no forced entry into the single storage unit. The victim/ renter listed approximately $25,000 worth of tools and miscellaneous items were stolen from the unit. Detectives located some of the stolen property in various Baton Rouge pawn shops and their records showed that the items were pawned by 50-year-old Ryan Lance Redinger.

As the investigation continued it was revealed to detectives the unit was entered via an access code 13 separate times without the renter’s permission. Detectives also found out that Redinger was employed by the renter during the time frame of the storage unit burglaries and had the access code, added Major Hanna.
