The Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office is actively seeking the whereabouts of 31-year-old Eric Bennett who is wanted for attempted second-degree murder, possession of firearm by convicted felon, and illegal use of weapons.
According to Chief Deputy Bobby Webre, detectives began an investigation into a shooting that occurred on Mars Drive in Darrow on Monday, April 2.
As the investigation continued, it was learned that Bennett began firing a shotgun towards a group of people on Mars Drive for reasons unknown. A victim was struck and was treated at a local hospital for non-life threatening injuries and released.
