APSO SEARCHING FOR TWO MEN AFTER ALTERCATION RESULTED IN SHOTS BEING FIRED – 11/23/2016 4:12 PM

The Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office is currently searching for Michael Lewis of Belle Rose and Joshua Herbert of Donaldsonville after an altercation between the two resulted in shots being fired Monday, November 21.

Lewis, who is wanted for attempted second-degree murder, illegal use of dangerous weapons, and disturbing the peace, reportedly pulled a handgun out during the altercation that occurred in the area of St. Patrick Street and Marchand Drive in Donaldsonville and began shooting at Herbert as he fled the scene, according to Lt. Col. Ward Webb.

Herbert is wanted for disturbing the peace.

Lewis also fled the scene upon deputies’ arrival and the reason for the altercation is still unclear at this time.
