The Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying two suspects who stole credit cards from a teacher’s purse at an area school on Tuesday, February 2 during school hours.
The unidentified suspects, a black male and female, arrived at the school driving a light colored, possibly silver in color SUV. The female entered the school and went into and unoccupied classroom where she stole credit cards from a teachers’ purse, according to Major Kevin Hanna.
During the course of the investigation detectives discovered that the stolen credit cards were used by the male suspect to purchase gift cards from the Prairieville Winn-Dixie. A short time later, the male suspect attempted to purchase several more gift cards at the Gonzales Walgreens, but the transaction was declined.
The suspects and their vehicle were captured on video surveillance.
