APSO SEEKING INFORMATION FOR DEATH INVESTIGATION – 11/7/2017 9:17 AM

The Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office is seeking the community’s help with information on a death investigation.

On Friday, November 3, at 4:45 a.m., deputies responded to Courtyard Drive in reference to a male lying in the street with apparent signs of trauma to the body.

The male was later identified as Brian Tumas, 44, and was transported to a nearby hospital where he later died from his injuries.

As the investigation continued, it was learned that Tumas was found not far from his residence on Courtyard Drive.

He was last seen on Thursday night around 8 p.m. by a family member at his residence on Courtyard Drive in Pelican Point.

Investigators are seeking information on anyone Tumas may have been with and his activities and or/location prior to being found on Courtyard Drive in Gonzales.
