On Thursday, September 14, in the early morning hours, deputies were dispatched to a residence on Northwood Alley in Prairieville in reference to a home invasion with shots fired, according to Chief Deputy Bobby Webre.
The preliminary investigation revealed that a 15-year-old juvenile had been shot during the home invasion and transported to a local hospital in stable condition. It was learned that three male suspects, wearing face masks, entered the residence demanding money.
As the suspects attempted to leave, the homeowner began to fight back and one of the suspects opened fire striking the juvenile.
Two suspects who appeared to be black, and one white suspect, were all wearing dark clothing weighing approximately 135 pounds and 5’9’’.
“This type of crime is unusual for that area and we will not be satisfied until this case is solved and offenders are in jail,” added Chief Webre.
