The Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect who committed several vehicle burglaries and stole a vehicle on Tuesday, June 21 and then set the vehicle on fire.
The sheriff’s office responded to several vehicle burglaries on Lillie Valley Drive in Gonzales on Tuesday. Additionally, a vehicle was stolen from one of the residences. During their investigation, deputies were able to obtain surveillance video of the suspect in the stolen vehicle at a nearby convenience store. The vehicle was later located in neighboring Iberville Parish, where it had been set on fire.
The APSO and the Louisiana State Fire Marshal’s office are currently conducting a joint investigation of the vehicle arson.
