CRIME STOPPERS TIP LEADS TO ARREST OF STOLEN TRAILER AND MOTORCYCLE – 8/26/2016 2:27 PM

On Wednesday, August 24, deputies received a crime stoppers tip advising that Jamie Clements had stolen a utility trailer in July from a residence on Coontrap Road in Gonzales.

On July 28, deputies began investigating a stolen utility work trailer that had approximately $100,000 worth of tools in it.

On Wednesday, August 24, deputies executed a search warrant at a residence belonging to Clements and located the stolen utility trailer matching the description of the one missing from July. Deputies also located a Harley Davidson motorcycle that had been reported stolen in February 2015. The motorcycle was not in working condition and had been stripped and used for parts only.

Jamie Clements, 44, of 16211 Highway 431, Prairieville, was arrested and charged with theft of a motor vehicle, two counts simple criminal damage to property, and theft over $25,000.

He was booked into the Ascension Parish Jail where no bond has been set yet
