Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Deputies are asking for the public’s help to identify a man wanted in an attempted break-in.
According to Chief Deputy Bobby Webre, shortly after 10 a.m., Monday morning, August 6, deputies were dispatched to a residence on Cannon Road in Gonzales in reference to a burglary in progress with shots fired.
The suspect, described as a medium build dark-skinned African-American male, fled the scene in an older model four-door vehicle with a faded blue paint job with minor rust showing on the vehicle. As he fled the scene, he fired several shots in the area but no one was injured.
