Deputies arrested 35-year-old Thomas Guillot on Thursday afternoon for violation of protective order, simple robbery, false imprisonment, and home invasion.
According to Chief Deputy Bobby Webre, deputies were dispatched to a residence on Colonial Oaks Drive in Gonzales after dispatch received a call from a female yelling out the address of where she was and then disconnecting the line. A short while later deputies arrived on scene and located the front door of the residence kicked in but no one was inside the residence.
As the investigation continued it was learned that a female living at the Colonial Oaks Drive residence had been having problems with her ex-boyfriend, Guillot, and that she had an active restraining order against him. Deputies began to search the area and located Guillot in his vehicle with his ex-girlfriend in the passenger seat unharmed.
According to the victim, Guillot knocked on her door and when she realized it was him she did not answer. Guillot then kicked the door in and pinned her down as she tried several times to escape him. He then took her phone and keys and drove off with her in the vehicle until the truck was located on Stringer Bridge Road in St. Amant by deputies.
Guillot, 35, of 215 Paradise Alley, Donaldsonville, was arrested and charged with violation of a protective order, simple robbery, false imprisonment, and home invasion.
He was booked into the Ascension Parish Jail where no bond has been set yet.
