According to Chief Deputy Bobby Webre, deputies are searching for 31-year-old Jamar Howard who is wanted for multiple drug charges.

On Thursday, January 18, Ascension Parish Sheriff’s deputies responded to a burglary alarm at a residence on Bourg Street in Donaldsonville. Upon deputies’ arrival, they located a back door open and proceeded to secure the residence. While entering the residence, deputies located a shoe box tipped over with a quantity of heroin in it.

As the investigation continued, narcotics detectives executed a search warrant on the residence and located approximately 2.6 ounces of marijuana and 2.3 pounds of heroin. The approximate street value of the heroin is $30,000. Detectives were able to identify Howard as the person the residence belonged to.

Howard is wanted for possession with intent to distribute heroin, possession with intent to distribute marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
