Ascension Parish Sheriff Bobby Webre reports the arrest of four suspects on attempted first-degree murder and armed robbery charges on Wednesday, Nov. 6.
On November 5, shortly before midnight, Ascension Parish Sheriff’s deputies responded to a residence on Flamingo Road in Sorrento in reference to a 13-year-old male juvenile who was suffering from a gunshot wound from an apparent robbery.
The juvenile was transported to an area hospital where he is listed in moderate but stable condition.
Through the course of the investigation the suspect vehicle was located minutes later on Highway 22 in St. Amant and all four suspects were taken into custody.
Leon Taylor, 24, of Sorrento, Mason Nickens, 21, of Prairieville, and Nicholas Dykes, 23, of Gonzales, were all charged with attempted first-degree murder and armed robbery.
Caleb Brown, 25, of Baton Rouge, was charged with possession of a firearm by convicted felon armed robbery, and attempted first-degree murder.
All were booked into the Ascension Parish Jail where no bond has been set yet.
