29-year-old Robert Gonzalez of Geismar was arrested Sunday night, March 26, after an argument ensued between him and another male who is listed in critical condition.
According to Chief Deputy Bobby Webre, deputies received a call shortly after 10 p.m. stating that a male victim suffering from stab wounds to the upper chest was being treated at a local hospital after an argument with Gonzalez that occurred earlier in the evening on Deck Boulevard in Geismar.
As the investigation continued, detectives spoke with Gonzalez who advised the two were involved in an altercation and he stabbed the victim.
Robert Gonzalez, 29, of 12251 Deck Boulevard, Geismar, was arrested and charged with attempted second-degree murder and aggravated assault.
He was booked into the Ascension Parish Jail where no bond has been set yet.
