Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office Chief Deputy Bobby Webre reports that on Thursday, September 7, narcotics detectives were contacted by Baton Rouge Police Department in reference to an ongoing narcotics investigation and learned that a quantity of illegal narcotics were being transported to a residence in Gonzales.
Narcotics detectives, along with Gonzales Police Department, began an investigation and performed a traffic stop on a vehicle leaving the undisclosed residence. The driver of the vehicle was identified as 26-year-old Jeremy Gustave. Detectives then executed a search warrant on the vehicle and located a plastic container with approximately 23 pounds of marijuana.
Jeremy Gustave, 26, of 11084 Dave Miller Road, Geismar, was arrested and charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana.
