GONZALES COUPLE ARRESTED ON MULTIPLE CHARGES – 11/9/2017 10:37 AM

According to Lt. Col. Ward Webb, deputies responded to 41060 Turo Lane in Gonzales on Monday evening, November 7, in reference an illegal use of weapons complaint.

Deputies arrived on scene and located 30-year-old Alexis Lopez who advised deputies that someone was after him and he had to protect his family.

As the investigation continued, deputies observed two vehicles parked in the driveway of the residence with multiple holes in the windshields of the vehicles that were consistent with bullet holes.

Deputies located a female inside the residence, later identified as Chelsea Labat, and two juveniles unharmed.

After locating drug paraphernalia in the residence, deputies performed a search warrant on the residence and located a large quantity of xanax, a large quantity of steroids, a large quantity of marijuana, a quantity of methamphetamine, a glass smoking pipe, a glass bong used for smoking, a large quantity of used and unused syringes, a handgun, and various other drug paraphernalia.

The two juveniles were placed with a family member, added Lt. Col. Webb.

Lopez was charged with Illegal use of weapons, possession with intent to distribute schedule IV CDS, possession of schedule II CDS, ten counts of possession with intent to distribute schedule II CDS, five counts sale, distribution, or possession of a legend drug without a prescription, possession of schedule II CDS, possession with intent to distribute marijuana, drug paraphernalia, illegal carry of weapons, and two counts illegal use of controlled dangerous substances in the presence of a person under 17 years of age.

Labat, 25, was charged with illegal carrying of weapons, possession with intent to distribute schedule IV CDS, possession with intent to distribute marijuana, drug paraphernalia, illegal use of controlled dangerous substances in the presence of persons under 17 years of age, and possession of schedule II CDS.

Both were booked into the Ascension Parish Jail awaiting bond.
