GONZALES MAN ARRESTED ON THIRD-DEGREE RAPE; CONTRIBUTING TO THE DELINQUENCY – 11/6/2015 8:35 AM

According to Ascension Parish Sheriff Jeff Wiley, juvenile detectives arrested Peter Thomas, 26, of Gonzales for two counts of contributing to the delinquency of juveniles and third-degree rape.

On Friday, August 14, detectives began an investigation into an alleged rape of a juvenile.

Detectives learned that earlier in the week two female juveniles went to Thomas’ home at 12159 Hattie Moran Road in Gonzales where they purchased alcohol and marijuana from him. The juveniles consumed alcohol and smoked marijuana in the home until they began feeling sick and fell asleep. One of the juvenile’s was awaken by Thomas having sex with her but due to her intoxicated state she was unable to fight him off.

Peter Thomas, 26, of 12159 Hattie Moran Road, Gonzales, was arrested on Friday, August 14 and charged with possession of marijuana, drug paraphernalia, third-degree rape, and two counts contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile. His bond was set at $200,933.50 by Judge Verdigets.

In May 2015, Thomas was investigated for a similar incident where he was accused of providing alcoholic beverages to juvenile females who ultimately fell asleep in his residence, said Sheriff Wiley. In
this incident, Thomas was accused of purchasing alcohol for a 15-year-old juvenile and several other juvenile subjects. The investigation revealed that the juvenile female fell asleep with Thomas lying next to her and awakened to feeling her panties and pants being lowered. As the investigation continued, Thomas had photographs in his cellular device of another juvenile female who was photographed without any clothing. He was charged with indecent behavior with a juvenile and contributing to the delinquency of juveniles.

He was also arrested on April 12 for contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile when deputies were dispatched to a residence on Bayou Narcisse Road where Thomas and his roommate hosted a gathering with juveniles at the residence.

Thomas is being held at the Ascension Parish Jail.
