According to Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office Chief Deputy Bobby Webre, deputies arrested 51-year-old Timothy Wright for false impersonation of a police officer and reckless operation on Monday, July 10.
On Saturday night, July 8, deputies received a report that Wright was driving a vehicle with flashing lights and stopped another vehicle. The complainant noticed suspicious activity when Wright exited the vehicle with non-police clothing and drove off. Wright pursued the vehicle for a short period of time before driving off. A license plate number was recovered from the vehicle which led to Wright’s arrest.
Timothy Wright, 51, of Florence, Mississippi, was arrested and charged with false impersonation of a police officer and reckless operation.
He was booked into the Ascension Parish Jail where no bond has been set yet.
