NINE ARRESTED ON MULTIPLE DRUG CHARGES – 3/14/2017 4:50 PM

Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office narcotics detectives, along with the US Marshal’s executed an arrest warrant on Monday, March 13 on 31-year-old Joseph Babin who was wanted on second-degree cruelty to juvenile charges.

According to Sheriff Jeff Wiley, deputies arrested Babin at his residence located at 43258 Norwood Road in Gonzales, where they also found illegal narcotics. Narcotics detectives then executed a search warrant on the residence where they seized a quantity of marijuana, a quantity of methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, and several weapons inside the residence.

Nine people were arrested and charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, possession of psilocybin, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

The following were arrested on Monday, March 13:

Joseph Babin of 43258 Norwood Road, Gonzales.

Casey Scott, 19, of 18094 Conthia Street, Prairieville.

Morgan Sullivan, 21, of 18025 Grace Street, Prairieville.

Sarah Tarrow, 22, of 45132 Robin Trail Road, St. Amant.

Emmanuel Castillo, 32, of 43258 Norwood Road, Gonzales.

Mathew Lambert, 29, of 43264 Moody Dixon Road, Prairieville.

Steven Harris, 30, of 43244 Norwood Road, Gonzales.

Michael Milliet, 31, of 17140 Highway 44, Prairieville.

Justin Landry, 30, of 43258 Norwood Road, Gonzales, was additionally charged with two counts illegal carrying of weapons.

All were booked into the Ascension Parish Jail awaiting bond.
