One arrested in multiple shooting from September in Donaldsonville  

On Monday, October 26, detectives arrested 24-year-old Darrion Jacobs, of Denham Springs, on attempted second-degree murder and illegal use of weapons.

On September 11, deputies were dispatched to a large gathering around Elizabeth Street and First Street in Donaldsonville where five victims were shot. The victims ages were 25, 16, 26, 34, and 24. Three were listed in stable condition and two were treated and released from the hospital.

After further investigation, it was learned that a party was being held for 25-year-old Murphy Ealem at a residence on First Street. On September 21, deputies arrested 51-year-old Charles Ealem, 28-year-old Jyrah Bringier, and Murply Ealem on charges of letting a disorderly place, keeping a disorderly place, disturbing the peace, contributing to the delinquency of juveniles, and Donaldsonville City Ordinance; disorderly conduct.

Detectives continued the investigation and learned that Jacobs was a suspect in the shooting.

He was booked into the Ascension Parish Jail.
