A Prairieville man was arrested early Friday morning in connection with the death of 61-year-old Byron Hayes who was found Thursday morning by deputies at a residence on Tillotson Road in Prairieville.
According to Chief Deputy Bobby Webre, 46-year-old David Foreman Jr. is charged with firstdegree murder, attempted first-degree murder, illegal use of a weapon, possession of a firearm by convicted felon, possession of stolen firearm, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was also charged with armed robbery and aggravated battery from a separate incident that occurred in early September.
Investigative leads led detectives to the residence of Foreman on Thursday evening that left Hayes deceased and 70-year-old Douglas Tillotson in critical condition at a nearby hospital. Detectives executed a search warrant on Foreman’s residence and located a crack pipe on his person. He was then arrested on the above said charges.
This case is still under investigation and more charges may be pending.
