SECOND ARREST MADE IN VEHICLE BURGLARY CASE FROM JULY – 8/16/2018 10:19 AM

According to Chief Deputy Bobby Webre, Ascension Parish Sheriff’s deputies, with the assistance of the Louisiana State Police Narcotics Division and Task Force, and the Iberville Parish Sheriff’s Office, located and arrested 22-year-old Preston Sharp on Wednesday, August 15 in St. Gabriel.

Sharp was one of two suspects wanted in connection with several vehicle burglaries that occurred in the Prairieville area in July.

Deputies located and arrested the first suspect, Justin Sharp, on July 23 where he was booked into the Ascension Parish Jail on multiple counts attempted vehicle burglary, theft of a firearm, possession of a firearm by convicted felon, theft, and trespassing.

Preston Sharp was charged with five counts of attempted vehicle burglary, nine counts of vehicle burglary, six counts theft of a firearm, six counts possession of a firearm by convicted felon, felony theft, three counts misdemeanor theft, and 11 counts of trespassing.

He was booked into the Ascension Parish Jail where no bond has been set.
