Ascension Parish Sheriff Bobby Webre awarded Sharon Morris, an Honorary Sheriff Proclamation on Thursday, March 28.
Sharon Morris is a graduate of White Castle High School. She has over 25 years of experience in customer relations and community event planning through the banking industry. Five years ago, Sharon followed her passion and left the banking industry to serve as the marketing director of the Arc of East Ascension. Prior to her hire, she served as an outstanding board member for the Arc of East Ascension, serving in several leadership capacities.
Morris continuously recruits volunteers and community organizations to provide a positive impact for individuals living with disabilities in Ascension Parish.
She is a 2017 graduate of the Ascension Chamber of Commerce Leadership Ascension and is a member of the Gonzales Rotary Club.
“Sharon is a compassionate person and has a caring nature for individuals with disabilities,” said Sheriff Webre. “She continues to find ways to make individuals with disabilities a part of the Ascension Parish community day in and day out and I am proud to recognize her for her efforts.”
