SHERIFF OFFERS REWARD FOR GEISMAR SHOOTING SUSPECT’S ARREST – 1/11/2017 3:54 PM

Ascension Parish Sheriff Jeff Wiley announced on Wednesday, January 11, a $2,500 reward for the information that leads to the arrest and conviction of Javante Haynes who is wanted for attempted second-degree murder.

This individual is responsible for the shooting of Kermit Jackson that occurred on Monday, January 9 on Carrie Lane in Geismar. Jackson is still listed in critical condition.

Shortly before 10 a.m. Monday morning, deputies were dispatched to a residence on Carrie Lane in Geismar in reference to shots being fired. Upon deputies’ arrival, they observed Kermit Jackson in the middle of road suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
