SORRENTO MAN TURNS HIMSELF INTO AUTHORITIES AFTER JUNE HOMICIDE – 8/21/2019 4:00 PM

On Tuesday, August 20, 21-year-old Bobby Smith Jr. of Sorrento turned himself into authorities on charges of second-degree murder, according to Sheriff Bobby Webre.

Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Detectives began investigating the homicide of Kenneth Brown who was killed on June 8 at a residence on North Robert Wilson Road in Gonzales.

Through the course of investigation, Smith was identified as a person of interest and an arrest warrant was issued for him on Monday, August 19.

Smith was booked into the Ascension Parish Jail where no bond has been set yet.
