Ascension Parish Sheriff’s deputies arrested 26-year-old Jordan Debate on Tuesday, August 1st on several outstanding warrants.
According to Lt. Col. Ward Webb, deputies responded to a burglary on July 24 on Rod Anderson Road where items had been taken from an unlocked shed, including two guns. Video surveillance captured Debate on video stealing several items.
On July 29, deputies were dispatched to a residence on Tiggy Duplessis Road in reference to a suspicious complaint. Deputies made contact with the homeowner who advised that Debate entered her residence without her knowledge and when she heard his voice she dialed 911. Debate was gone prior to deputies’ arrival.
Debate was located on Tuesday, August 1 where deputies’ located methamphetamine in his pocket upon his arrest.
Jordan Debate, of 11480 George Lambert Road, St. Amant, was arrested and charged with drug paraphernalia, possession of methamphetamine, unauthorized entry of an inhabited dwelling, two counts simple burglary, two counts theft of a firearm, criminal trespass, and two counts possession of a firearm by convicted felon.
He was booked into the Ascension Parish Jail where no bond has been set yet.
