Deputies arrived and located Summerfield asleep in her vehicle. The vehicle was running and in gear. Prior to deputies’ arrival, Summerfield’s child was removed from the vehicle by a concerned neighbor. Summerfield was given a chemical test where her BAC was over four times the legal limit. She was transported to the Ascension Parish Jail and charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated with child endangerment, added Major Webb.
