ST. GABRIEL MAN ARRESTED ON BURGLARY CHARGES – 2/28/2018 10:02 AM

According to Chief Deputy Bobby Webre of the Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office, detectives arrested 58-year-old Roscoe Alexander Jr. on Friday, February 23 in connection with multiple residential burglaries that occurred in the Prairieville area.

On Wednesday, February 21, the sheriff’s office began investigating eight reported residential burglaries located on Moody Dixon Road, La Rochelle Road, Bill Morgan Road, and Highway 933.

Alexander was identified as a suspect through surveillance video and was arrested at a residence on Cornerview Road in Gonzales where he was in possession of a shotgun at the time of his arrest.

Alexander, 58, of 4860 Highway 75, St. Gabriel, was arrested and charged with six counts of simple burglary of an inhabited dwelling, two counts of attempted simple burglary of an inhabited dwelling, eight counts of criminal trespassing, seven counts of simple criminal damage to property, and possession of a firearm by convicted felon.

He was booked into the Ascension Parish Jail where no bond has been set yet.

Alexander has a lengthy criminal history and has been arrested 13 times for charges of burglary, armed robbery, and drug charges.
