Lt. Col. Laura Gremillion
Deputy Chief of Administration
Lt. Colonel Laura Gremillion began her career at the Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office in 1998 as a 911 dispatcher. She is currently the Deputy Chief of Administration and is tasked with many agency-wide projects, such as policy, accreditation, research, and training. She leads the team in the Professional Standards and Accountability Unit as Accreditation Manager. She also oversees the civil unit and the administration division, which includes the personnel in the finance, tax, and human resources sections, along with the east and west business office units.
Lt. Colonel Gremillion graduated from the LSU Basic Training Academy in 2002, earned a master’s degree in 2010 in the field of Criminal Justice, is a 2013 graduate of the Leadership Ascension, and was named Deputy of the Year in 2015 by the Knights of Columbus. She has also served as a member of the Crisis Negotiation Team since 2009.
Lt. Colonel Gremillion grew up in Donaldsonville and now resides in Prairieville with her husband, Andrew, and their children.
