Lt. Col. Paul Hall began his career with the Sheriff’s Department in March of 1992 as a patrolman. He was transferred to Juvenile Division as a detective in 1996 and three years later transferred to the Ascension Parish jail to start a new program, the Pretrial Release Program. In December of 2000, he was promoted to Sergeant of Pretrial Release Program and Records Department at the jail. He was promoted to Lieutenant and subsequently promoted to Deputy Warden of the Ascension Parish Jail in 2006. In September of 2011, he was promoted to Major and became the Warden of the Ascension Parish Jail and again promoted to the rank of Lt. Col. on January 15, 2019.

Lt. Col. Hall is a lifelong resident of Ascension Parish and a graduate of East Ascension High School. He earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management from Southeastern Louisiana University. Paul was a member of Professionals in Pretrial Services Association from 2000-2005. He is also a 2008 graduate of Leadership Ascension.

Paul is the son of Dorothy and the late Edward Hall Jr. He is married to Marvelous Hall and they have three children.
