THREE ARRESTED ON MULTIPLE DRUG CHARGES – 8/23/2019 3:00 PM

Ascension Parish Sheriff Bobby Webre reports the arrests of 24-year-old Mike Brown, 40-year-old Jeffery Johnson, and 23-year-old Daryl Brown early Friday morning, August 23.

Shortly after midnight, Ascension Parish Sheriff’s deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle after observing a traffic violation. Deputies made contact with the driver, Mike Brown, along with Daryl Brown and Johnson who were passengers in the vehicle.

Through the course of the investigation, deputies searched the vehicle and located a quantity of Ecstasy, four ounces of marijuana, promethazine tablets, cyclobenzaprine tablets, a digital scale, and open alcoholic beverage containers.

Mike Brown, of Geismar, was charged with stop sign violation, expired registration, no insurance, possession with intent to distribute marijuana, possession of a legend drug without a prescription, possession of schedule V controlled dangerous substance, and possession with intent to distribute ecstasy.

Daryl Brown of Darrow and Jeffery Johnson of Donaldsonville were both booked with possession with intent to distribute marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Johnson had an additional charge of open alcoholic beverage.

All three subjects were booked into the Ascension Parish Jail where no bond has been set yet.
