THREE INJURED IN SATURDAY NIGHT SHOOTING IN DARROW – 9/26/2016 8:16 AM

Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a shooting on Saturday, September 24 shortly before 8 p.m. in Darrow that left three injured.

According to Chief Deputy Bobby Webre, deputies responded to a residence on Highway 22 in Darrow in reference to shots fired inside the residence striking a 16-year-old juvenile in the leg, 45-year-old Claude Graves was struck in the forearm and leg, and 39-year-old Horace Hanzy was struck in the hip and shoulder.

The 16-year-old juvenile was transported to a local hospital where he was treated for his non-life threatening injury. Both Graves and Hanzy were transported by private vehicle to nearby hospitals and treated for non-life threatening injuries.

As the investigation continued it was learned that Graves, the juvenile, Hanzy and other acquaintances were inside the residence watching a football game when shots were fired from outside the residence by an unknown subject.

This case is currently under investigation.
