TWO ARRESTED IN EARLY MORNING HOMICIDE IN GONZALES – 6/12/2018 3:23 PM

Two people were arrested early Tuesday morning, June 12, in connection with the death of 23-year-old Christopher Goudeau who died at a nearby hospital Tuesday morning.

According to Sheriff Jeff Wiley, deputies responded to a residence on Black Bayou Road in Gonzales at 6:10 a.m. in reference to a shooting. When deputies arrived on scene they located Goudeau suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to a nearby hospital where he later died from his injuries.

As detectives began their investigation it was learned that 24-year-old Kirpatrick Morrison and 22-year-old Lauren Donaldson, who were acquaintances of the victim, were at the victim’s residence when an argument turned into a physical altercation. Morrison then shot the victim.

Both Morrison and Donaldson fled the scene but were apprehended a short while later by East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office after they were involved in a traffic accident in Baton Rouge.

Kirpatrick Morrison, of 39124 West Lane, Prairieville, was arrested and charged with firstdegree murder and aggravated assault.

Lauren Donaldson, of 39124 West Lane, Prairieville, was arrested and charged with first-degree murder.

Both were transported to the Ascension Parish Jail where no bond has been set yet.

This investigation is ongoing.
