Ascension Parish Sheriff Jeff Wiley reports that on Friday, August 7, narcotics detectives, along with Louisiana State Police, executed a search warrant on a residence located at 411 Houmas Street in Donaldsonville that led to the arrest of one, and two being sought.
Narcotics Detectives conducted an investigation over the past several months into drug trafficking. According to Sheriff Wiley, upon execution, the residence was unoccupied. Detectives noted the smell of marijuana emitting from a neighboring residence, 407 Houmas
Street.
Detectives knocked on the door and Trevon Thompson, 21, fled from the rear of the residence but was apprehended a short foot pursuit.
As detectives continued to search the residence at 411 Houmas Street, they located three pounds of synthetic marijuana, spray bottles with synthetic chemicals, scales, a rifle, and documents that confirmed Thompson and another subject, Jason Sanchez, having ties to the residence.
Sheriff Wiley added that the chemicals found, along with the spray bottles, and other materials found in the 411 Houmas Street residence were pre-cursers that support the creation of a clandestine lab.
Detectives also conducted a search at the 407 Houmas Street address and located marijuana, legend drugs, Daludid, and paraphernalia.
As the investigation continued, it was learned that Davis and Sanchez are step brothers and Thompson was raised by their parents.
