As your elected Sheriff I want to take this opportunity to give some background on just what the Sheriff’s Office is and how important it is to the public that we serve. The Sheriff’s Office can be traced back to 1810 when it was created, and moved to the “modern era” in the late 1940’s. Our department has become one of the most technologically savvy and advanced departments in the state. To date, our department has been considered “the model” for other local law enforcement to study and learn from.

As such, the Sheriff is the highest elected law-enforcement officer in the parish in which the people have a voice to elect.

With this knowledge I want to assure the citizens of Ascension Parish that I hold the oath of office to be a sacred honor.  It is our hope that this website assists you when you may have questions or need to find information located on our site.

Our department is on watch 24/7 ever vigilant with the mission that we have accepted as law-enforcement professionals. 

Our Goal is to develop and maintain a useful and helpful website which further enhances our belief in communicating and educating our citizens to reduce crime and increase safety for you, your family, and your friends.

My prayer is that by working together we will continue to make Ascension Parish a place that people will want to live and raise their families.
