Chief Deputy of Criminal Operations
Chief Deputy Bobby Webre currently holds the position of Chief Deputy of Criminal Operations for the Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office. Before obtaining his current position Chief Webre held the position of Lt. Colonel of Criminal Operations from 2011-2016 and Warden for the Ascension Parish from 1996 – 2011. He began his career with the Ascension Parish Sheriff's Office in 1985 after completing his military service. Lt. Col. Webre was promoted to the rank of Sergeant after serving six years in the Patrol Division. In 1992, Chief Webre was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant and supervised the Warrants and Courtroom Security Divisions of the Ascension Parish Sheriff's Office.
In 1993, Chief Webre was selected as one of the original members of the Department’s Crisis Response Team. In 1996, Chief Webre was promoted to Captain and became the Jail Administrator under the administration of newly elected Sheriff Jeffrey F. Wiley. In 2000, Chief was promoted to the rank of Major. In 2007, Chief Webre was selected to attend the prestigious FBI National Academy in Quantico,Virginia.
Bobby and his wife Karen have been married for over 25 years and currently live in Gonzales. He is a member of the East Ascension Rotary Club, American Correctional Association,
American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Knights of Columbus, and the FBI National Academy Association.
